GEELONG versus Gold Coast games are usually memorable affairs thanks to the appearance of a bloke called Gary Ablett, but this year's could have an extra level of special attached to it.
There could be potentially four Launceston players on Metricon Stadium on Saturday, June 21, with Jackson Thurlow (Geelong) and one of his best mates Jesse Lonergan (Gold Coast) and the Kolodjashnij twins (Jake and Kade) a chance to be on opposing sides.
Thurlow said if this were to happen, it would not only be special for the players and their families, but for the Launceston Football Club.
"Our families are really close, just through the club footy that we've played as myself, Jake, Kade and Jesse would have played 20-plus games together, be it at club footy or the Mariners, so it would be great to all be on the one ground playing in the one game," he said.
