This is without doubt the most important election I have been involved in.

Now more than ever we need to create a Tasmania that leads the way and is open for business. We need a growing economy, investment and jobs and Tasmania needs a Government that has a clear long term plan to deliver that for the people who live here.
Raised at Nunamara, I attended Myrtle Park Primary and Queechy High. A keen sportsman, I was honoured to represent Tasmania as a junior footballer and played senior football both here and in Western Australia.
I qualified via Deakin University as a financial planner and hold a post-graduate qualification in Business Administration, and worked for many years in financial services holding senior management positions both in Australia and Europe. Elected to Tasmania’s Parliament in 2002, my current portfolios are Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Forestry and Industry.
Married to Amanda, we have a daughter Millie and a son Finn. As a family we understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and community participation.
I work hard to keep fit and in recent years completed my first marathon. I am also a qualified black belt instructor in the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. When time permits I enjoy movies, reading and going to the football.
I want to help create a Tasmania where everyone has the opportunity to receive a good education, get a job, raise a family and reach their full potential. We all deserve that and I will work hard to achieve it.
