Elected in 2010, Rebecca White is passionate about ensuring there is equality of opportunity for all Tasmanians regardless of where they live, their background or circumstances. Rebecca is equally passionate about ensuring regional communities are well represented and supported.
Rebecca White’s focus is on building stronger communities, promoting innovation in agriculture and harnessing the potential of the NBN technology.
Rebecca is practical, hard-working and passionate about Tasmania’s regional communities. She will ensure Lyons continues to share in the states growth and prosperity and that it realises its potential as the nation’s food bowl. Rebecca is currently the Minister for Human Services
Rebecca grew up on her parents’ farm Redbanks in Nugent and attended Sorell School before graduation from UTas with a combined Commerce and Arts degree. She has built her own home in the electorate.
