Lichtendonk, a lifelong servant and respected member of the club, said yesterday that he would be stepping down from the temporary role.
"I took this job on, only until a more qualified person could be found to fill the role," he said.
"This appointment allows me to continue my coaching courses and devote more time helping with the administration of the club."
A track and field athlete in his youth, Lunnon is a former president of Riverside Olympic Junior Soccer Club who coached senior soccer at Bundaberg last year.
