The Queensland Warriors wicketkeeper was charged with two counts of stealing and one count of wilful damage over an early-morning incident that also involved teammate Tim Armstrong.
Armstrong wasn't charged by police, but the pair have been stood down from Western Australia's Futures League match against Queensland.
Triffitt is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrate's Court on March 7.
Triffitt went to Launceston Grammar School and played for Launceston in the NTCA.
He played for the Tassie Tigers before moving to Perth at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.
He struggled in his first season at the Warriors and hasn't featured for WA's main side this summer.
The 23-year-old is in the final season of his two-year deal, and might be cut loose at the end of the summer.
All-rounder Armstrong, 23, made just three and 11 in his two games for the Perth Scorchers this season in the Big Bash League.
