The 28-year-old opener has scored just 51 runs in four knocks in the coloured clothing, with 37 of those runs coming against South Australia on October 30.
This is in stark comparison to his Sheffield Shield form, where he as made 373 runs at an average of 37.30, including one century.
Limited overs strike bowler Ben Laughlin will also miss the West Park encounter with a minor quadricep injury.
Batsman Jordan Silk is a chance to make his debut, with Ben Dunk and all-rounder Evan Gulbis also coming into the Tigers' squad.
Saturday's game will begin at 10.30am.
