Border closures and COVID-19 restrictions have forced the postponement of the 75th Australian Jazz Convention in Albury this year. The convention was scheduled to run from December 26-31, but organisers have decided to celebrate the milestone occasion on the same dates in 2021. It will mark the second time Albury has hosted the event after a successful debut on the Border last year. The convention sees musicians travel from interstate and internationally to enjoy the six days of jazz. IN OTHER NEWS: Albury Council events team leader Ros Walls said while it's disappointing the event won't go ahead this year, all is not lost. "I'm just so excited that they're coming back to us for their 75th anniversary," she said. "We're finding that while a lot of events are being postponed, they still want to come back to Albury."
