Basketball Tasmania has announced its under-18 girls squad that will represent the state at the Australian junior championships at Werribee in April this year.
Launceston's Amelia Whitehead was the only player from the North named to the starting squad, with Amber Brazendale and Keely Morrison on reserves.
Whitehead, who represented City Bingley in Launceston Basketball Association's junior women division one competition, ranked second in points (100) and points per game (10) in 2020.
Morrison ranked first in these categories playing for City Clark.
Whitehead scored 46 points playing for Queechy in the North regional high school 9-10 division one competition.
She also played 11 matches overall in both the under-16 and under-18 2020 Tri-Series tournaments.
