Jansz non-vintage rosé has been named the best sparkling at Festivale 2016. Jansz' Alex Illman said it was a privilege for the rosé to win the sparking wine award when it was "up against other vineyards' vintage wines, which have a lot more time and potentially effort put into them."
If it is cider you like, follow the Red Brick Road to some of the best cider. Red Brick Road Cider won the Best Dry Cider award for its Cox's Orange Pippin and the Best Perry in the inaugural Festivale Tasmanian Cider Trail Cider Awards. Red Brick Road cider maker Corey Baker said it was terrific to win in the first cider awards at Festivale.
