Jansz' Alex Illman said the winery decided to present its non-vintage rosé for this year's awards, rather than its popular cuvee.
Mr Illman said it was a privilege for the rosé to win the sparking wine award when it was "up against other vineyards' vintage wines, which have a lot more time and potentially effort put into them."
Rosé was an up-and-coming style of sparkling wine, Mr Illman said.
"It's something that is a little bit newer and represents where the market is going, and it is a really nice good-quality wine."
With Sunday being Valentine's Day, Jansz will be pushing its rosé.
"We'll have a Valentine's Day pink Sunday," Mr Illman said.
Jansz has had a stall at Festivale for more than a decade, with its sale prices staying the same at $5 a glass and $25 a bottle for the past six years.
Mr Illman said the event was a beautiful showcase of what Northern Tasmania had to offer.
