The City of Launceston will vote to confirm the appointment of Michael Stretton as general manager at Monday’s council meeting.

Mr Stretton is set to be appointed for five years commencing on October 16, 2017.
He previously worked in Launceston as the council’s director of development services and has most recently held the role of general manager at the Waratah-Wynyard Council.
He will fill the position left vacant by Robert Dobrzynski’s retirement.
