TasTAFE chief executive Stephen Conway and senior executive Lori Hocking resigned in May.
“Mr Burrows was appointed to the Board in 2013 and whilst his term expires in June 2018, he has made the decision to leave now in the best interests of TasTAFE’s future,” Education Minister Jeremy Rockliff said.
“Nicola Morris will be appointed Interim Chair and a recruitment process to fill the board vacancy will commence shortly.”
Mr Rockliff said the first quarter of the independent audit into TasTAFE is expected to be finalised shortly and the state government will release the audit, as well as its response in the coming weeks.
