It is understood the trio were on a deer hunting expedition with another friend when they died, possibly because of gas which leaked into the caravan where they slept.
A fourth man, believed to be outside the caravan overnight Saturday, found them and raised the alarm about 8am.
Posts to the Examiner’s Facebook page yesterday included: ''R.I.P to 3 great men u will be sadly missed.
Another said: ``I know that at least one of them was a truly great man and will be very sadly missed.
And another: ``Its sad that such small things can take away great life’s just like that.''
A police media release said yesterday: “On arrival at the scene, police located three males, two from Launceston and one from Hobart, deceased inside a caravan.
``Police are continuing to investigate the exact cause of these deaths but are satisfied that they are in no way suspicious.''
Police said they would attempt to pinpoint the exact cause of the deaths today.
They said they had notified the next of kin of all three men who will formally identify the men.
Though their names have not yet been released, The Sunday Examiner understands that two of the men were father and son.
The father, from Launceston, was engaged to be married and the son, from Hobart, had three young children of his own.
The third man, also from Launceston, was also a family man.
It is believed they were keen deer hunters, one of the men leaving a message on social media site Facebook saying: ``Come on 3:30. Hohoho and of I go deer hunting for three whole days with the boys :-)''
