A grey Mazda hatchback left the side of the road and hit a cement curb about 4.40am on December 20.
The highway was blocked for a number of hours after the incident.
At the time, police said they had “grave concerns” for the driver and nearby bushland was searched in a bid to find the driver.
Tasmania Police Sergeant Gavin Chugg previously told The Examiner given the serious nature of the crash, it was possible the driver could have serious injuries.
It has been nearly a month since the crash but police still don’t know the identity of the driver, but investigations are continuing.
Information about the crash should be reported to police on 131 444, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
