ACL needs to translate its unstoppable T20 form to the 40-over format to remain in finals contention, says captain-coach John Kedey.

The Bluebacks, who sit last on the 40-over ladder and first on the T20 ladder, will travel to Hadspen this weekend with Chathura Athukorala (broken finger) and Anuradha Dissanyaka on the sidelines until Christmas.
“We were pretty angry after last week to get beaten,” Kedey said.
“It’s time to step up, and especially against a side that’s a bit of an unknown to us and has some good international talent - and we’ve never beaten them there in my time as coach.”
LONGFORD has taken its place at the top of the ladder ahead of its rematch with last years’ finalist Cressy.
Brett Martin will replace Kieran Davey (unavailable) and join a bowling line-up which was led last weekend by Max Magann (5-17).
“Maxy came down from New South Wales to work over here this year and he’s added a lot to our team with bat and ball,” captain-coach Josh Adams said.
“It’s been a good start to the year being 4-0 … but we need to keep getting the job done in these last three games and go into Christmas in a good position.”
BEAUTY POINT broke through for its first win last round and will regain coach Rob Crane, Gavin Nutting, Joe Bodis and Sam Cooke for its clash with Perth.
Crane heralded an 87-run partnership between Stuart Prewer and Adam Turner as the catalyst for the Tamar Tigers’ best batting effort of the season to date.
“It should be a good game,” he said.
“[Perth] seem to have a fairly good bowling lineup so we’ve got to bat smart again.”
Demons coach Ross Tulich will recall keeper Keelan Beattie as his side looks to overturn its loss to a Clinton Reid-inspired Trevallyn.
“They were a bit too classy - we bowled ok but we weren’t at our best - we didn’t have the spark,” Tulich said.
“We’re certainly hoping for a better batting performance and to be a bit more responsible in how we’re batting.”
LEGANA will return to full strength after blooding three debutants in a big loss to Longford.
Coach Geoff Stick, Josh Allen, Michael Dunn, Adam Bourke and Dylan Sharman will all return for the home clash against 3-1 Trevallyn.
“They’re sitting second on the ladder, they’re one of the stronger teams and it’s definitely going to be a tough battle,” Stick said.
Trevallyn skipper James Whiteley has called on Jacob Millwood to replace the unavailable Kyle Strochnetter.
“The last couple of weeks we’ve been playing some complimentary cricket and really playing to our strengths which is nice,” Whiteley said.
“We’ve had contributions from across the board so we’re really happy.”
