The half-back flanker will bring up the milestone on Saturday having been named in the Roos’ best in the past four matches, and is pressing a strong claim to win the club’s best and fairest award for the third year running.
Experiencing grand final week in Deloraine in 2005 and 2014 has been Crowden’s career highlight to date, but the captain of eight years hopes there’s better still to come.
“I’d say my personal highlight hasn’t happened yet - hopefully we can play in another finals series and go a bit further,” Crowden said.
“There’s a fantastic bunch playing there this year, they keep you on your toes and coming back and motivated.
“There’s a pretty bright future at the end of it looking at the way we’re playing our footy this year, good things are going to happen soon I reckon.”
Having played his first senior game as a 15-year-old in 2000, Crowden remains a good chance of seeing a third decade in blue and white.
The 33-year-old was quick to point out that there were many committee members, volunteers and fans who had served the club for longer than his 18 years.
Deloraine president Shaun Donohue said such a statement typified Crowden’s character.
“Brad is a champion of our club both on and off the field and has been for many years,” Donohue said.
“He is a very committed and loyal clubman and has always stood tall for the club in good and bad times.”
Deloraine will host South Launceston at 2pm on Saturday.
