The company last month revealed customer data had been accessed by a malware infiltration but investigations in Australia so far have not turned up evidence of data theft.
The state’s largest organisations, such as University of Tasmania, Hydro Tasmania, Federal Group and the state government, use PageUp’s services.
A state government spokeswoman said the government was considering its legal position.
The government suspended job advertisements as soon as PageUp confirmed the possible data breach but last week came up with an interim arrangement for its website jobs.tas.gov.au.
PageUp has confirmed that no employment contracts, applicant resumes, Australian tax file numbers, credit card information or bank account information were affected.
At this stage, the affected data might include names, street addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers.
