Four youngsters from the Fernando Bale-Millie Grace litter dominated the opening round of the series on Friday week, with Launceston Cup finalist Apollo Blue running a sizzling 29.57 in his heat.
Apollo Blue will be joined by three litter-mates Dooper (29.77), Reiki Master (29.95) and Jack’s High (30.08), all trained by Deverell, in Monday’s four semi-finals following their impressive heat wins.
Minor Magic rounded out the Deverell-Cuthbertson combination success, with the son of Kinloch Brae and Millie Minor racing into calculations when running second to Gary Fahey’s Sacred Shadow.
