In the grade 7 50-metre freestyle, Homan’s time of 31.91 seconds eclipsed the record of 32 seconds jointly held by her mother Merodi Jack from 1984 which in turn had broken the record set by her sister Anita Jack in 1980.
Homan also set new records of 1:10.54 in the 100m and 17.15 in the 25m butterfly.
Other records were set by Liana Freestone (18.41 in the grade 8 25m butterfly and 1:26.00 in 100m freestyle) plus Caleb Nason (18.66 in the boys’ grade 8 25m butterfly and 1:24.91 in 100m freestyle), Kaiden Page (24.69 in the grade 9 25m breaststroke), Bryce Stone (19.99 in the grade 7 25m butterfly) and Coby Evans (1:29.62 in grade 9 100m freestyle). Nevis claimed the house shield for the third year in a row.
