The declaration of the polls will be held at the Inveresk Tramsheds on Friday to declare the Northern electorate MPs, with the writs to be sent to Her Excellency the Governor Kate Warner on Monday.

All candidates in the election are expected to attend the declaration, with a similar event held in the North-West.
It’s believed the winning candidates from Bass and Lyons will be at the Northern event.
The two Northern electorates were key in ensuring Will Hodgman’s slim Liberal majority, each delivering three Liberal and two Labor seats for the parliament.

New Labor members Jennifer Houston and Jen Butler all join incumbent Labor and Liberal members of both electorates and will be invited to speak among the other successful candidates.
The declaration of the polls ceremony will be held at 1.30pm at the Tramsheds, Inveresk. The public is welcome to attend.
The southern electorates will host their own declaration of the polls on Monday at Parliament House.
