The 22-year-old from Ulverstone, sidelined since breaking his leg against Richmond in round 9, 2016, and the complications that followed it, spent time on Crow Mitch McGovern and finished with eight touches at 87 per cent disposal efficiency, with seven of those uncontested and four intercepts.
He took six marks (three intercepts) and laid three tackles as he builds a case towards being in the Dockers’ round 1 against Port Adelaide.
Teammate Brady Grey, of Burnie, played forward and back, and collected 11 possessions at 55 per cent disposal efficiency with seven uncontested, took two marks (one uncontested), had two clearances, laid six tackles and had two score involvements.
In the AFLW, Clarence’s Jessica Wuetschner moved closer to an All Australian spot with dominant performance up front in Brisbane’s rain-impacted win over Fremantle after kicking two goals and having 18 touches.
She sits second on the goal-kicking table with seven for the season.
