In preparation for the Launceston Cup on Wednesday, Ms Rees shared some key tips for ladies who were yet to decide what to wear on the day.
“It’s about looking elegant and sophisticated,” she said.
Ms Rees said to choose “more length over less” when it came to dresses.
She also emphasised the importance of picking the right footwear.
“Shoes are the most important part of the outfit,” she said. “Make sure to break them in. Also, make sure you can walk in them.”
“Make sure you choose the right undergarments,” she said. “And, if you’re wearing hosiery, make sure you bring a spare pair.
“Layer your dress. Bring along a matching jacket, just in case the weather turns.”
Ms Rees said it was important to choose the right accessories, match your nail polish, and to not get lipstick on your teeth.
“It’s important to make sure you look well-groomed from head to toe.”
Her biggest tip was to bring anti-static spray and to pin-on hats and fascinators.
