On Saturday night, a Holden Commodore crashed into a parked car in Launceston’s city centre, after doing a burnout in the streets.
Tasmania Police says the incident happened at the intersection of George and Cimitiere streets, outside the Commercial Hotel, about 11.25pm.
It’s believed the red sedan fish tailed onto the wrong side of the road, hitting the parked car.
While CCTV did capture some footage of the incident, police are appealing for members of the public to come forward with any information.
Anyone with any information relating to the identity of the male driver, or the location of the vehicle (a red Holden Commodore sedan with no front number plate) is urged to contact Launceston police on 6777 3932.
Anonymous information can be passed on through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperstas.com.au
