Enthusiasts from along the Tamar River will gather at the club from 11am ahead of a boat parade at 1pm.
Organiser and club Vice-Commodore, Greg Rowsell, expected a variety of boats to be part of the event.
“We have a good contingent coming in from Low Head, as well as from other areas surrounding the Tamar River,” he said.
“It is a good opportunity for owners to share ideas, while also sharing their enthusiasm for classic and wooden boats.”
The feature boat of the event will be historical yacht Sao, which was built in Ned Jack’s Launceston shipyard 120 years ago. Having been restored former Port Cygnet Sailing Club Commodore Geoff Doolan, the yacht was recognised at last year’s Hobart Wooden Boat festival.
Anyone participating in Saturday’s event must tie up their vessel at the PDYC by 11am.
