About 30 students from Jamie’s Dance School took part in the summer intensive class run by professional dancer Anjelica Simatos.
The school’s sole teach Jamie McDonough said it was a chance for her students to learn from another professional.
“I studied with Anj and she has gone on to do a lot of amazing dance things, she has toured around the place and done lots of shows,” McDonough said.
“I thought it was a great opportunity for my students to learn from her. They have me all the time and it’s good to have a difference prospective.”
Simatos, who has toured with a number of Bollywood artists and taken part in tribute shows for Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Pink and Justin Beiber, said it had been really rewarding.
“I’ve been teaching similar kids for the past five or six years, so it’s nice to see kids outside of Victoria and Sydney where I grew up. It’s been great seeing where they come from,” she said.
