With seating capacity at the University of Tasmania Stadium reduced by the installation of the big screens behind the pitch, there are about 7000 ticket left, according to Cricket Tasmania chief executive Nick Cummins.
Hobart Hurricanes general manager Phil Rigby said people would need to buy tickets early.
“We would encourage people to purchase tickets now to avoid missing out on game day, as we can’t guarantee that tickets will still be available at that point,” he said.
“There is only a few thousand tickets remaining, which is a fantastic.”
Preparations continued at the stadium on Wednesday for Launceston’s first Big Bash League match.
The installation of the sight screens began in the morning, while efforts are persistent to perfect the ground.
