Police have confirmed the rider as a 16-year-old male.
He was treated for suspected spinal injuries and lacerations to the face at Launceston General Hospital.
His condition is not life threatening.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has landed at Launceston General Hospital with the rider. More to come.
EARLIER:
A search is underway for a trial bike rider with suspected spinal injuries in the state’s North-East.
Tasmania Police said it was called to assist Ambulance Tasmania to find the rider about 11.40am.
The crash has occurred near Double Sandy Point Conservation Area west of Bridport.
Acting Inspector Luke Moore said it was “early stages” and they had “scarce details”.
“About 11.40am, we received reports of trail bike crash at Double Sandy Point and that the man riding the trail bike has suffered facial injuries as well as suspected spinal injuries,” Inspector Moore said.
“Because of the location, this has become a police search-and-rescue job.
“To assist the the Tasmania Ambulance Service, the police search and rescue helicopter is on route from Hobart.
“It will fly the rider of the motor bike to Hobart Royal Hospital or Launceston General Hospital.”
