Deloitte recently interviewed 31 senior staff members and surveyed more than 300 workers on operations within the service.
Confusion has reigned over the existence of a report, compiling the work, since Health Minister Michael Ferguson addressed questions in Parliament in late November.
He has repeatedly stated that no report exists, even though the service itself in a memo to staff said interview and survey responses would be “aggregated into a report.”
“A high level summary of findings from the report will be shared with the wider organisation, shortly after presentation of the report to the executive,” the memo read.
Mr Ferguson released the summary on Saturday.
Hobart independent MLC Rob Valentine, who is chairing a Legislative Council sub-committee on acute health services, said if there was a summary, there was a full report.
“Given that work has been undertaken, we need to see this transparently dealt with,” he said.
“We need the fullest information available in order to make recommendations.”
If the government refuses to voluntarily hand over requested information, the sub-committee has powers to coerce the government to hand over the information.
Labor Leader Rebecca White said Mr Ferguson’s obfuscation was indicative of the government’s selective views on transparency.
"This saga just continues to get stranger and stranger," she said.
"The committee is right to ask for a comprehensive, detailed report now so we can have clarification about what information the government has received.”
A government spokeswoman said nothing had changed from the staff memo, indicating a full report would be done, and now.
“Nothing has changed,” she said.
“A survey was conducted by Deloitte, due to the public interest a summary of this work has been produced and released publicly.
“When the survey was sent out, it was made clear that individual survey results would be kept strictly confidential.
“We intend on keeping this commitment.”
