The Bureau of Meteorology has released its Christmas Day forecast for Northern Tasmania and so far it is looking pretty good.
Bureau duty forecaster David Matthews said the weather looked fine and mild across the North of the state.
He predicted the top temperatures would hang around the low to mid 20s, with only a few scattered clouds later in the day.
Launceston is predicted to reach a top temperature of 25 degrees with a low temperature of eight degrees.
The East Coast is predicted to reach a high of 22 degrees, while the North Coast sits on 20 degrees.
So far, there was no chance of rain and only light winds in most parts of the North, although there was a chance of showers for the North-West, he said.
The Christmas Day weather was only just creeping into the bureau’s forecast so there was still time for it to change, Mr Matthews said.
South-westerly airflow could bring cooler temperatures during the day, he said.
