The huge entry list includes 28 street stocks contesting their 20-20 race where drivers compete for 20 laps in one direction before the first chequered flag.

They then race the next 20 laps in the reverse direction to ensure their suspension is standard, with the finishing order from the first component determining the starting position.

In form drivers are Dale Riley Jr., Ben Riley, Troy Russell, Corey Bauld and Aaron Bradley, and with racing close and intense so far this season, don’t be surprised if the winner is on this list. 

Late models have ten cars entered and this newest division in speedway certainly has a solid base to build on and grow.

Most pundits expect that everyone will be chasing Brad Smith, however he will find himself being challenged by Kallan Muir and Jason Cox who have also won finals this season.

Others to show good pace include Nathan Rainbird, Josh Beaumont and Shaun Kelly.

Tim Pike will also make his racing debut in the class.

The modified racing has been extremely close and Trent Quillerat heads into Saturday having won the last battle at Carrick Speedway.

Brad McKendrick, Brad Herbert and Craig Williams will be pushing hard for victory.

Another massive field of 28 junior sedans will require both a main and a consolation final to fit all the competitors into the programme.

Jakobe Jetson and Jayden Triffett have both won already this season and they will be challenged by Jesse White, Cody Gay, Stevie Smith and Paige Allison.

The consolation final is a fantastic opportunity for the newer drivers to win, boosting both their confidence and speed.

Speedcars should see a very entertaining battle for the win between Luke Redpath and Brock Webster.

A healthy 14-car field will ensure the super fast Formula 500s add to the spectacle.

Dylan Beveridge, Taylor Johnson and Rick Weatherill were flying last weekend, but they will have to contend with Jock Goodyer who is very tough to beat and has returned from racing on the mainland.

Some big improvements have been made at the raceway since the last meeting with a new family-friendly kids club area making it an entertaining night for all the family.

There’ll be plenty of activities for the children all within sight of the track in turn two.

Competition once again starts at 5pm to race through the massive programme.
