Health Revival Longford director Leah Coker-Williams, who coordinates the event, said the memorial fun run didn’t go ahead last year because a venue couldn’t be found.
About 29 people competed in the fun run this year.
The event usually attracted close to 150 people, but Ms Coker-Williams said the December run date meant fewer people were able to attend.
Already she was considering holding two fun runs next year, one in winter and another at a different point of the year at the estate, she said.
Traditionally funds raised went towards reinvesting in the gym.
Brodie Triffett, of Perth, won the 8 kilometre run with a time of 28 minutes and two seconds. Josh Davis, of Newham, won the 4km run.
Mr Triffett said it was a quick course with good scenery and it would be a good one to run again in the future.
