A 29-year-old man has been taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital suffering non life-threatening injuries.
Tasmania Police allege the man was stabbed by a 25-year-old man who was known to him.
The incident occurred at a Bridgewater residence about 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Police reassure the public this is an isolated incident.
Tasmania Police say it is following a specific line of inquiry in relation to the alleged offender.
