Tasmanian Minister for Education and Training Jeremy Rockliff said Mr Blake was the “ideal appointment”.
He would bring substantial audit experience, and financial and risk knowledge to his new role, Mr Rockliff said.
Mr Blake will join University of Tasmania professor and principal Janelle Alison on the board before new TasTAFE chief executive officer Jenny Dodd starts early next year.
