With an online following in the hundreds, the pint-sized goat from Willow Creek Miniature Goat Farm in Ellendale is making a big impression online.
With a passion for Tasmanian politics and agricultural issues, Talisa’s owner Carl Roberts said their tongue-in-cheek approach to social media had proved very effective for their business.
“The way we looked at it in this day and age of social media, we needed a handle for people to want to look and engage with us,” he said.
“We don’t take it too seriously, it is more about making people smile.”
Mr Roberts said at five-years-old, in goat-years Talisa is the equivalent of an up and coming millennial voter and should have some very strong opinions heading into the next state election.
“Some people describe her as sitting to the right of Genghis Khan and the left of Mother Teresa,” he said.
“It depends which way the wind is blowing and what is in her food bowl.”
