The 17-year-old will be on hand to witness Swimming Tasmania’s Summer Regional Championships set to be staged at the Launceston Aquatic Centre on Saturday.
The Launceston-raised national swimmer that now lives and trains out of Brisbane will also appear at Swimming Australia’s Junior Dolphins clinic with her acclaimed coach Dean Boxall.
Titmus proved that she represents the future of Australian swimming when she broke several national marks this calendar year.
She just missed a world championship medal during her fourth place swim in the 400m freestyle.
But the one-time dual Riverside and Launceston Aquatic swimmer’s time of 4:04.26 still set a new national age group record.
The swim was also the fastest by any Australian swimmer aged 18 and under, and put Titmus fourth on the all-time national rankings.
The former St Patrick’s College student also captured a world bronze medal swimming the anchor leg of Australia’s 4x200m freestyle team in 1:56.61.
This came on the back of the teenager first leaping into the national championships spotlight with the fifth fastest time ever by an Australian during the 800m freestyle in her adopted hometown.
Still just 16 at the time, Titmus clocked a 14-second personal best time to defeat Australia’s fastest ever 800m freestyler, Rio Olympian Jessica Ashwood, and 5km open water national champion, Kiah Melverton.
Titmus’s standout time of 8:23.08 back in April was the best in the world this season in what was also a new Australian 16-year-old record.
