Labor has accused the government of delaying the release of TasTAFE’s annual report, reasoning it is doing so because it contains payout details for the organisation’s former chief executive.

Stephen Conway resigned from the position in May after an Integrity Commission report found he gave his deputy, and friend, Lori Hocking favourable treatment which resulted in financial and career advantages.
In Parliament, Opposition Leader Rebecca White accused Education Minister Jeremy Rockliff of breaching the TAFE Act which stated an annual report needed to be tabled four months after the financial year concluded.
“Four months was up yesterday,” she said.
Mr Rockliff said the report would be tabled before Parliament wrapped up for the week.
“This is the week where we table annual reports,” he said.
“I tabled a number yesterday and I will be tabling a number of annual reports this week.”
