That was what Gina Timms said as she was awarded a lifetime achievement award for services to country music at the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Awards.
Timms was one of several musicians recognised for their dedication and talent as country music performers at the awards evening held at Country Club Tasmania on Saturday night.
She also received the Tasmanian Female Legend Award 2017.
"To have my mum sitting right there and to be recognised with these prestigious awards, I am pinching myself,” Timms said.
When asked how she was feeling after receiving her award, Timms said "oh wow, I am so incredibly humbled to just be nominated but to win is so exciting".
Entering its third year, the awards is the largest country music event held in Tasmania.
Timms is currently touring Tasmania after being crowned National Songwriter of the Year and receiving the national award for Most Popular Song of the Year with her song New Life.
