A man who stabbed a woman in the leg with a screwdriver, choked her with belts and chased her down the street with a knife will be sentenced on Monday.

Kurt Stanley Arnol was found guilty of wounding and assault in the Launceston Supreme Court on Thursday.
The jury took more than three hours to decide he had stabbed and assaulted Karen Hall late last year.
During the two-day trial, the court heard Arnol turned up to Ms Hall’s Rocherlea home in December.
Taking to the witness stand, Ms Hall told the court it was about 1am when Arnol arrived and started bashing on her door.
He returned later in the morning, waking her up, and the pair started arguing – the dispute soon turned physical.
Ms Hall said Arnol “laid into her”, strangling her with her own belts.
Once she got free, she tried to run from the house but he chased her with a kitchen knife.
After Ms Hall made it to a friend’s house the police were contacted and Arnol was charged over the incident.
It was the second time he had attacked her.
Just four weeks earlier Arnol stabbed her in the leg with a screwdriver while she was at a friends house.
He pleaded not guilty to one count of wounding and three counts of assault.
The jury unanimously decided he was guilty of strangling Ms Hall and chasing her with a knife, but only a majority of the panel agreed he had stabbed her.
Arnol was also accused of shooting a bow and arrow near Ms Hall’s head while she was sleeping and telling her the “next one would be her head”.
But the jury unanimously decided he was not guilty of that act.
Once the verdicts were handed down, acting Justice Pierre Slicer thanked the jurors for their contribution.
“The strength of the jury system is underrated,” acting Justice Slicer said.
“I believe that the community has more faith in a verdict delivered by one of their own rather than a single professional like myself.”
Arnol was remanded in custody until Monday, when he will be sentenced.
