Karen Hall gave evidence during a trial in the Launceston Supreme Court on Wednesday, describing how a man allegedly stabbed her and then assaulted her in her home four weeks later.
Kurt Stanley Arnol has pleaded not guilty to one count of wounding and three counts of assault.
He is accused of assaulting Ms Hall in December last year at her Rocherlea home.
The court heard Mr Arnol allegedly tried to strangle Ms Hall with belts, shot an arrow near her head and chased her down the street with a kitchen knife.
Ms Hall could not remember the alleged arrow incident but said she noticed a hole in the wall above her pillow.
“Kurt told me … it was a bow and arrow and that next time it would be my head,” she said.
Ms Hall said Mr Arnol had turned up at her house in the early hours of the morning on December 13, demanding to be let in.
An argument ensued and Mr Arnol allegedly assaulted Ms Hall by trying to wrap belts around her neck and punching her to the head, the court heard.
“He came into the room, got onto the bed and started laying into me,” Ms Hall said.
She told the court she managed to escape from the house and started running down the street.
“I was running from Kurt … he was running after me,” she said.
“He grabbed hold of me ... I noticed a kitchen knife … in his hand.
“He threatened me … told me to get back to my house.”
Ms Hall said Mr Arnol let go of her and she ran to a friend’s house and contacted police.
The trial before acting Justice Pierre Slicer is expected to continue on Thursday.
