A HOUSE at Mayfield was badly damaged when fire broke out early yesterday. Fire crews were called to the unoccupied house in Treherne St about 2.30am. The house sustained extensive internal damage, estimated at $70,000. The fire is believed to be suspicious and the Launceston CIB is investigating. About 1.30pm yesterday fire crews attended a blaze at the old Roller World complex in Merino St, Kings Meadows. Tasmania Police said the fire in the vacant warehouse also appeared to have been deliberately lit. Anyone with any information on the two fires is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
