Launceston has cleaned up at this year’s Real Estate Institute Tasmania Awards for Excellence in Hobart held earlier this month.

Of the 15 categories recognised on the night, Launceston agencies won awards in five.
Three of them belonged to the Key2 Property Agency, which took out the Community Service and Best Small Agency awards in what was its first year of inclusion at the event.
Director Tameka Smith also won the Residential Property Manager Award.
Fellow director Kate Woods said they could not have asked for a better night.

About 180 guests attended the event, with a total of 65 individuals and organisations recognised with nominations.
The awards showcase the real estate industry’s top performers and are designed to identify, encourage and promote excellence and best practice in the profession. Other Launceston agencies to have success on the night included Sims for Property Launceston with the Corporate Support Person Award and NAI Harcourts North Launceston with the Commercial Sales Person Award.
State Minister for Building and Construction Guy Barnett commended the winners on the night..
“On behalf of the Tasmanian Government I would like to congratulate winners of this year’s Real Estate Institute of Tasmania Awards for Excellence,” he said.
“The Tasmanian Government is committed to supporting Tasmania’s real estate industry to continue to create clarity for buyers and sellers in the way the real estate industry does business in Tasmania.”
The REIT is a member organisation representing the views and the professional needs of its membership, which comprises more than 170 Real Estate Agents and their staff throughout the state.
Since 2007, the REIT has presented the Awards for Excellence in line with the National Awards for Excellence conducted by the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA).
