Sarah Kerriann Newitt, of Deloraine, was due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Thursday morning charged with using a carriage service to menace another person.
The matter was set down for hearing but Ms Newitt did not appear.
The court heard she was still in Melbourne where her daughter, Phoenix, was continuing to receive treatment following the shooting incident.
The police prosecutor indicated Ms Newitt would be returning to Tasmania “very soon” but was likely to be travelling “back and forth” to Melbourne for her daughter to receive further treatment.
It was not revealed in court whether the harassment charge was linked to the shooting.
The matter was adjourned for mention on November 7.
