Relive the Rivalry regular and Richmond champion Matthew Richardson will again line up for the Tasmanian outfit, which will include former AFL stars Paul Williams, Paul Hudson, Russell Robertson and Daryn Cresswell.
Fletcher and Fevola will be joined on a star-studded Victorian All Stars team by Steven Milne, Michael O’Loughlin, Darryl White and Matt Spangher.
The 2017 instalment marks Launceston’s first time hosting the event, and match director Jaimes Wiggins is hoping the new location will help expose the concept to a new demographic.
“It’s a great opportunity for the North of the state who miss out on a fair bit to stand up and say they want this game every year,” Wiggins said.
“It’s a great event and there’s plenty of entertainment throughout the day with three games… if we can get a crowd of anywhere between 3000 and 5000 people that’ll be sensational.”
Melbourne midfield duo Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca will also attend the game to sign autographs, take photographs and kick the footy.
Relive the Rivalry, which raises funds for Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania, will kick off with two curtain raisers before the main event gets under way at 5.30pm.
