A house has been destroyed after a fire tore through it in the state’s South in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Tasmania Fire Service was called to the fire at Rokeby about 1.30am.
The house in Benboyd Court was unoccupied.
Tasmania Police also attended the incident and said the house was “significantly damaged”.
“The fire is being treated as suspicious,” Detective Senior Sergeant Richardson said.
It is unknown how long it took for Tasmanian Fire Service to bring the fire under control.
Tasmania Police is appealing for any witnesses.
“Any witnesses or person with information are asked to contact Crime Stoppers,” he said.
