Hobart schools to pilot new Tasmanian driver education program

Two Hobart schools have been chosen to test a new driver training program designed to help young people get job-ready.

Year 11 and 12 students at the Jordan River Learning Federation and the Southern Central Trade Training Centre are now set to trial the government’s Driving for Jobs program.

A part-time coordinator position will be funded to work with the students, combining driving simulation equipment with supervised on-road training.
