The Tamar Yacht Club-run expo featured stalls from more than 50 different exhibitors, including local favourites such as Allgoods and Neil Buckby Motors.
Event founder and co-ordinator, Ken Gourlay, wandered from stall to stall spruiking the wares of different exhibitors.
His running commentary on the event was a delight for many in attendance at the Silverdome.
Mr Gourlay reached local fame for circumnavigating the planet solo and unassisted in 2006.
In doing so, he became simultaneously both the fastest and the oldest Australian to achieve the feat.
This monumental achievement saw Mr Gourlay awarded as the Tasmanian winner of the Australian of the Year award in 2008.
The boat show is open until 4pm on Sunday.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for concession tickets and free for children under 17.
