The Ben Lomond Snow Sports manager Flea Foot said the five to 10 centimetres of snowfall overnight on Friday made for even better cover on Saturday than the day before.
On Saturday the Ben Lomond Committee asked anyone headed up the mountain to follow the directions of the Parks Rangers.
Any 2WD vehicles proceeding past the park registration area must carry chains and fit them where directed the committee’s most recent weather update said.
Road weather alerts were also issued across Tasmania on Saturday with icy and snow covered roads making driving conditions dangerous during in parts of the North-West Coast, Central North, North-East, Western, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts.
