The Peter Hewitt Care for Africa Foundation will host its 11th annual cocktail ball to fundraise to help raise the living standard of people in a remote area in Tanzania.
The funds would go towards building the first series of United Nations-standard school sanitation toilets in the Mara region, Tanzania.

Foundation co-founder and chief executive officer Diana Butler said there was no other foreign aid given in the areas the foundation helped.
“People can’t escape from poverty unless their basic human needs are met,” Ms Butler said.
The organisation aimed to improve the water, sanitary, hygiene, health, education and social enterprise standards in the community, she said.
However, it was not a hand-out, it was a hand-up as the programs were about sustainability and empowering people, she said.
It gave them the tools to enable them to stop the cycle of poverty over time, Ms Butler said.
The ball will raise funds with a live auction, raffle prizes and a live auction of African art.
