St Marys school receives chess funding
Students from St Marys District School will be able to attend the East Coast School’s Chess Championships after the Break O’Day Council provided $300 funding.

The council received a request from the school to assist students from grades 3 – 10 to take part in the championships.
The school has been invited to send three teams to the September finals, costing $100 each.
The school understood the cost, but wanted to give students who aren’t “sport mad” the chance to shine.
