The Glenorchy forward polled three votes against Tigers to seal a third win that also includes his first in 2014.
Bowden’s three goals to mark his 200th State League appearance cemented a four-vote lead ahead of North Launceston pair Tom Couch and Brad Cox-Goodyear.
Couch failed to snare votes in the penultimate game of the home and away season, but Cox-Goodyer showed his wares in a standout best-on-ground effort in the Bombers’ 142-point win over Burnie.
Midfielder Josh Ponting and forward Mark Walsh both earned votes from the home clash on Saturday.
